On 17th February The Camberley Society and Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust will be at The Square, Camberley to hand out free bird boxes in celebration National Bird Box Week.
The Camberley Society and Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust, both registered charities, have created this joint initiative to promote their goal of making Surrey Heath a natural borough. They aim to make Surrey Heath rich with wildlife; where people and nature are better connected and every child benefits from exploring, playing and learning outdoors; a borough where we all enjoy high-quality green spaces, nature surrounds our homes, the air is clean to breathe, and it is a pleasure to walk everywhere.
To further implement their project, they are giving away free bird boxes during National Bird Box week (14th to 21st February). They will have a stall at The Square, Camberley on Saturday 17th near Poundland to hand out the bird boxes. There are a limited number available, so it is first come first serve.
This is the perfect opportunity for any budding David Attenborough’s or Countryfile addicts to get involved and enjoy nature first hand.
