Vacancy Information

You are the faceless voice on the other end of the phone when the caller discovers their house has been ransacked, their partner has been abusing them, their child has gone missing, their world has been turned upside down or when they may be having the worst day of their life.
From bomb scares to road traffic collisions, missing children to house burglaries, we're involved in managing them all. It's a fast-paced 24/7 operation that offers a real sense of job satisfaction and the chance to be part of a high-performing team. Our people must work calmly under pressure, communicate clearly at all times and make life-and-death decisions.

The Role

As a Contact Centre Operator you will also deal with online and social media communications, and engage with people of all ages and backgrounds.
You will get all the training, support and encouragement you need to become the best you can be and each day you will discover more and more about yourself and your capabilities. You will learn more about the vital and integral role the Contact Centre plays in the day to day functioning of Surrey Police. With the pride of knowing that however mundane the call may seem, you played a part in changing someone’s life, this job is like no other.
If you feel you can commit to working shifts in a 24/7 environment, this could be the job for you.
